Medication-assisted treatment is an effective and increasingly popular means of helping those with opioid addiction recover their lives. SAMHSA’s Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) is pleased to announce the availability of three consumer booklets that:

 Provide basic information about medication-assisted treatment for opioid addiction.
 Describe medication options including naltrexone, buprenorphine, and methadone.
 Explain how medication options fit into the overall recovery process.
