Announcing the November Road to Recovery Webcast: The Road to Recovery 2009: A Showcase of Events
Premiers November 4, 2009: In this Webcast, we look at the events and activities held in communities large and small as the country came together in celebration of National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month in September 2009. Individuals, families, and entire communities across the Nation united under the theme, "Join the Voices for Recovery: Together We Learn, Together We Heal." This program will showcase Recovery Month community forums, music-based activities, walks and runs for recovery, baseball games, civic engagement efforts, and other uplifting events that raised awareness of recovery and increased accessibility to treatment. In addition, the show highlights the positive and affirming message that addiction is treatable and recovery is possible.

Make history by adding your events to the national Recovery Month celebration! Post your events today. Even if your event has already occurred, it’s not too late to add it to Recovery Month so that potential supporters can join your event next year.

Recovery Month now has searchable resources on the science of addiction treatment and recovery. Research links to articles, studies, and reports related to innovative treatment, recovery services, and the physiological and psychological aspects of substance use disorders. Search the Articles and Studies for audience-specific articles, and find links to Government and Non-Government Resources on the science of addiction and recovery.

Help Your State, City, or Town Make Recovery Month History—Submit Your Proclamations
