Include Your Event Photos and Videos in a Recovery Month Video!

Submit your 2009 event photos and videos by October 9 for possible inclusion in an anniversary video of Recovery Month. Log into the Community Events page to submit your photos, and email recoverymonth@samhsa.hhs.gov for information on how to submit your videos.

It’s Not Too Late To Join the 20th Anniversary—Post Your Recovery Month Events Today

Your organization can still join the national Recovery Month celebration by posting your events today. Recovery Month events occur all year long! Reach out to thousands of potential event participants when you post your event to Recovery Month, and discover new faces at your event.

Search the New Resources and Science Section of the Web Site

A wealth of resources related to the science of addiction treatment and recovery exists. The field continues to study, evaluate, and release findings related to innovative treatment, recovery services, and the physiological and psychological aspects of substance use disorders. Search the Articles and Studies for audience-specific articles, and find links to Government and Non-Government Resources on the science of addiction and recovery.

Showcase your Recovery Month Community Event—Use the Widget on Your Web Site Today

Add the widget to your Web site today, so that visitors to your Web site can see your event and search for other Recovery Month events in their area! The Recovery Month widget is an easy tool to add to your Web site: if you already have an event posted on Recovery Month, go to your event listing and get the widget code on that page; it’s already customized to display your event. Simply add the code to your Web site.

Help Make Recovery Month History—Submit Your Local and State Proclamations

It’s not too late to encourage your state and local officials to issue proclamations recognizing September as Recovery Month. View a sample proclamation and get tips on how to initiate a proclamation. Submit your proclamation via email by sending it to recoverymonth@samhsa.hhs.gov.
