SAMHSA Releases Latest TEDS Report on Substance Abuse Admissions (10/9)
SAMHSA is issuing its latest Treatment Episode Data Set report. According to the report, the criminal justice system was the largest single source of referrals to substance abuse treatment, accounting for 37 percent of all admissions (approximately 671,000 of the 1.8 million admissions).

SAMHSA announced it is awarding up to $15.3 million over 3 years to 13 grantees to expand substance abuse treatment capacity systems in communities that can most benefit from these types of integrated comprehensive services.
SAMHSA Awards More Than $2.5 Million for Statewide Consumer Network Grants (10/7)
SAMHSA announced the award of 12 grants totaling more than $2.5 million over 3 years to support consumer organizations in their work to improve mental health services for persons living with serious mental illnesses.
